My favorite time of the year is coming up. Fall and Winter. I love the season and the holidays. I work on two quilts all year long to give to 2 individuals that have to stay in the nursing home during the holiday. I love to give my creations away to family. They always get special gifts at Christmas. If you are making special gifts for this Christmas, please share. I am always looking for new projects. Or what is your favorite go to gift for the holidays?

Can't give you any ideas for Christmas gifts but I would like to share this blog with everyone. Pat Speth, author of the Nickel Quilts has a blog. Many of her blocks use 2 1/2'' squares and they are scrappy! Anyway, here is the address nickelquilts.wordpress.com She is doing a block project called deli-geese that I thought looked very interesting. She is now on block 45. Lots of possibilities for our birthday squares. Enjoy!

Received another wonderful surprise from Happylab, along with a great pattern "Row by Row." Whether it's late, early, on time, just to know you are thought of and someone took the time to put a little rainbow in your day is SPECIAL. Having a great weekend. The weather is absolutely gorgeous, low humidity, low temps ( 70's-60's) is a blessing in itself.
