my answers;

1) barbarakibler23/ Barbara
2) about 5 years...started so I could spend more time with my mom
3) sharp rotary cutter (as long as all my digits are safely tucked away)
4) disappearing 9 patch...made it for my mom, she thought the whole time that I was making it (with her) that it was for my friend. No one has ever made her a quilt. She has made probably 70!
5) peacock....that really cool color between blue and green but not really teal
6) iris...but this changes...right now they are in bloom and so beautiful
7) go out of your comfort zone...you will be so happy you did!
8) not really ...that is why I posted this ..want to see where you all go.

Here is my mini bio

2) how long have you been quilting? First quilt in 1982 but sewing with a machine since age 6.
3) favorite quilting tool - 6.5 square. Just had to replace one becuse I wore out the cornors.
4) favorite quilt you have made and why? Mystery quilt from my guild that I gave to my brother. His response was and enormous hug and he I had grown so much more confident. He then gave it back so I could put a sleeve on it and he hung it on his living room wall. What an honor!
5) favorite color (not a quilt question) All gem tones and black, who can choose just one?
6) favorite flower - Lavender, mmmm what a scent.
7) best advice you can give - Put God first, family second and work third. Nothing, not even quilting, should take you away from spending time with your family.

2) how long have you been quilting? I made my kids some primitive quilts when they were little (the late 80's) but didn't start "real" quilting until about three years ago. I have sewn since I was about 11yo, tho.
3) favorite quilting tool: Rotary cutter and rulers!
4) favorite quilt you have made and why? A Bento Box design I made for a wedding gift for a sweet young couple, close friends of the family. I love the design, fabrics and colors... and luckily so do they!
5) favorite color (not a quilt question): Green
6) favorite flower: Geranium (because of the way their fuzzy leaves smell)
7) best advice you can give: Cherish and nurture your relationships.

4) favorite quilt you have made and why? French Roses why - it was a group project w/ friends at a quilt weekend and I LOVE France !!
