I received the August birthday information and I mailed out the (2) two August Birthday candy packets on yesterday Monday, 7/21.

Happy Birthday - Kathy and Debbie

    Tuesday Tip
I found this site yesterday and it has some beautiful quilts, historic quilts that are made of 2.5 in cuts.... or at least they could be made with our sweet treats. I was entranced and like the new ideas that are old ideas.

I don't think a pattern link counts as a tip but this shows two quilts I think I'm in love with!

Barbara said it would be alright to mention the 2" squares swap I am hosting... It's a swap for sets of 50 2" squares, up to 8 sets. Deadline to join is July 31 (9 days away!) and the squares must reach me by Aug. 15. If you have 2" squares you would like to trade, or have time to cut some, please join us! I collect both 2.5 and 2". Many of Bonnie Hunter's patterns use the 2" size. The thread is here:

My "Tuesday Tip" is one that many of you may already know, but it was new to me not long ago. It is "spiraling" the seam allowances at the intersection of the 4 squares in a 4-patch. There is a link to a video which explains it better and quicker than I could. It first talks about nesting seams, then goes on to talk about sprialing seams. It's a great technique and makes your 4-patches behave that much better!

HI to all, My tip for Tuesday.....The pedicure toe separators make great holders for your bobbins that are not being used. I can color code them and them store them in a small clear box with a snap shut lid. They stay neat and wound with the thread.
