Sent a PM before seeing this! Understand on the meds, I get the same way! No hurry, no worry, get better!

My partner and I have connected, squealed in delight and started planning. She (Kgoodhand) would like a 30's quilt, and I just happen to have a vintage 30's wedding ring top that seems to be calling for her! Now since the top is 95% done (needs some TLC and attention to edges), I am going to focus on the appropriate quilting and binding to make it shine for her. I usually FQM, and have done a lot of practicing to get decent at it. But I have also hand quilt, and this may just call for that touch. If my hands will take it, that is! I am terrible at pictures, but will have DH coach me ( again...) and will try really hard to update from time to time.
Dabbler, I have a Great Pyrenees too, so I know the fur level you live with! Her name is Gracie, but that is the only graceful thing about her. 130 lbs and thinks she is a lapdog. It is hard to keep things out of her reach when she is taller than the counters. But my 3 lb calico kitten (Truffle) has no fear and swats Gracie on the nose whenever she wants to. Love the furbabies.

Got my name last night and made contact. She love a "warm" red and requested Amish or Log Cabin . . . but doesn't like bright flashy colors. Eliminates all the Amish I've seen. Leaning toward Log Cabin.

Went to JoAnn's and found material I think she'll be happy with.

MDQuilter: Although I found a ton of beautiful fabric with splashes of pinks, I steered away from them. Don't want you crying when you open your package. Instead d

    Opps, the end disappeared.

MDQuilter: Although I found a ton of beautiful fabric with splashes of pinks, I steered away from them. Don't want you crying when you open your package. Instead decided on a warm red with tans and creams. If you don't like it, I can keep it. :-)

TheMamaHauser picked some fantastic fabrics for mine. I do like surprises so I'm not going to look the pattern up. I don't want to see it until it's done, I know I'm going to be happy with it.
I'm a very slow planner and like to let things sink in a bit before I act. Thanks to Elisabrat helping me get pointed in the right direction I'm starting to get a few ideas about what TheMamaHauser might appreciate. I'm going to keep thinking about it for a while and see what direction I end up going.
A big thanks to Yosamitesa for putting this together. I think she's doing an awesome job on this. I know I'm enjoying myself.

I have also had contact with my partner...I think this will be fun! As she likes reds and creams this will be a great quilt for me to work on! Soooo tired of sports and boy themed quilts for the grands and guys in this family! I think I can come up something with that color combo!! Thanks yosamitesa for putting this together!

Dabbler, think I found your rich classic red, but did have to order some ivory white. Hope when it arrives it's the right color, I bought 3 different ones so 1 should be good. Picked out a pattern in my head and just need to figure out the measurements today and hope it will fit.....All's good in is never never land!!

OMGosh! the idea of such a treasure and possibly having it handquilted!!! I could only be so lucky!
I am looking around my sewing room to see what I can find for your scrappy quilt! Do have to check and see how you feel about grab and go scrappy?
