I have Barb's birthday candy and card ready to mail tomorrow! This will be her best birthday ever!

Side note.... If any of you are as obsessed as I am over these "candy" stamps, my swap is open a couple more days for sign ups! Plenty of time to prepare and ship out. http://www.quiltingboard.com/member-...t269959-2.html

Hi, everyone! I am going to a retreat at the end of the month. The best part is that my sister will be going with me!

Hello all! It's finally cooling off in El Paso. I have been busy studying and learning all about my new Statler Stitcher. Also in a Hoopsisters class...Sewn Seedsvwhereby each 5" block takes 4+ hours to sew out. I've come too far to quit now but I'd be lying if I said I'd do it again! Too intense!

Michelle, I would love to see those blocks when you get them ready... I'm sure they will be worth the time and trouble.

KarenG, I have always wanted to try a quilting retreat! How fun that you get to go to one with your sister. I've been watching Bonnie Hunter's latest quilting cruise (on her blog) and wish I could afford one like that!

I am signed up for a 3 day retreat the first part of December. I really enjoy them because there is no distraction and you can just concentrate on sewing.

Hello everyone....I'm finally back from vacation and taking the time to log-on. Thanks for all the birthday wishes and the wonderful birthday candies! I was on a road trip, so I took the ones I had received on the trip and "played" with them in the car and at my destinations. It was so much fun opening all the cards and seeing that many different fabric selections in one place (my car)! I realize these candies are just like the monetary Christmas gifts that I receive....I spend it many times over! I'm envisioning table runners, mug rugs, lap quilts, baby quilts, I Spy quilts, etc. I'm having so much fun with them! But, rest assured, I WILL use them....they will be in many projects, some kept and some gifted......they will be shared and put to good use.

When we got home (today), I had a few more bundles waiting in the mail.....So KarenG and WMUTeach.....thank you for the additional fun, candies and birthday wishes!

Birthday Swap is GREAT ! ! ! Thanks, Nora

Thanks for your generosity and kind wishes. And, upcoming Happy Birthday to our October baby!
