Hello ladies
Thanks for letting me know if you are planning on joining again next year. Sorry to see some of you go....but I understand. I have lots of little candy squares, but I just can't get enough! Found a new pattern that I will use them with at my local quilt shop. Going to a class at my local quilt store on January 30th that we put 2 1/2 squares in a bag and randomly pull them out to use ???
hmmm......I'll share after I go.
I have been a very busy girl organizing my craft room. I bought a really big shelving unit from IKEA with 25 squares to fill with crafty goodies. (that was not a problem). It looks so beautiful and I now have my projects ready to go! Now to find the time to make projects into quilts, wallhangings and photo albums!
Hey still need to do a contest.......

Hi all! Just got home from a 10 day Christmas trip that turned into 3 weeks. Went to Washington for the holiday's and helped my son do a bathroom and kitchen remodel. Glad to be home again and I'm ready to get the sewing machine running. Looking forward to the new year and what it will bring.
Sending in my answers now Barb

Sounds like a great Christmas trip Jaba...I just helped my son lay down 3 bedrooms, hall and a living room floor. My knees are still crying. (I have blisters) but it was fun to work with my son and I learned right along with him. My son's family is moving back to my area before they were about 2 1/2 hours now they will be 35 minutes!!!

#2 had a few different answers. This is what I was looking for when I posted it:
Before settling on the Seven Dwarfs we know today, Disney also considered Chesty, Tubby, Burpy, Deafy, Hickey, Wheezy, and Awful.
So I made up Lazy. Then I went and looked further on the big wide web and found that "lazy" was also considered on other sites....so I just took that one out. But I did think that it was pretty funny just how many dwarf names I could have.![Embarrassment](https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images/smilies/redface.png)

Welcome back barb. I'm glad you enjoyed your trip and helping with the remodeling.
I have been busy, working, sewing on my doll quilt, 1/3 of the way done. Hopefully I will have the top done by end of next week. I plan to sew on this project on my next 3 days off. Hopefully it will be done by then. All of this in between house work. Yuk! I did get 80% of my candy squares (all of them I have received from different swaps) organized. I found another 15 packets from another swap needing to be intergraded to my sorted piles. Then I can start pilling squares for my different quilt tops. Yea!!!!!! I have at least 3 projects I want to start on with these squares. Oh well back to sewing and housework and work tomorrow.
I'm looking forward to swapping with everyone this 2016 year.

How nice to have children close by, Barb. Close enough to enjoy but far away enough to not be underfoot except when wanted. I have a daughter 10 minutes away, a second daughter 4 hours away and a son 1.5 hours away. Mixed blessings all around.
Wish I was quilting. Packing to move!

WMUTeach, best wishes for a safe & minimal stress relocation. The words "box, tape, & inventory" shake me to the core. 17 moves in 37 years - USAF/engineer climbing corporate ladder/family health issues/better commute or schools, etc. Hope to stay put now. Hey, I can wish can't I!!!!
hugs,
dj
