My husband and I will celebrate 49 years of wedded bliss (LOL) this September. Where did the time go? We have 2 girls and 2 boys and 9 grandchildren who live in other states except one, so we spend a lot of time traveling to see our family. Thank God for good health!

I'm with Daisy Dew in thinking that I was born with a needle in hand. I've always loved to sew and as my children "outgrew" home sewn clothes I turned to quilting and never looked back. I enjoy making scrap quilts the most and if I make something that has a focus color it will most likely be blue, blue/green or red. But really, I like all colors. It just depends on what other colors they are put with so that they behave! When warm weather arrives my quilting time will slow down as I spend my days either on the golf course or in my garden.

I don't enjoy watching TV so I don't have a favorite show. I very seldom even turn my TV on. I would rather listen to music or go to the library and get an audio book.

Pets and cigarettes make my asthma flair up so we have no pets. Guess I could have a fish but I would probably forget to feed it!

So I spent last night and today sorting my Birthday Candy from the 2014 swap. I'm so excited! Here's a picture. If you have the capability to scroll in you can see the piles of colors! Sometimes it was hard for me to decide what pile it went in....orange or yellow, teal or green, blue or gold..HAHAHA

My plan (and don't hold me to it) is to sew ME a Birthday Candy quilt from 2014 during 2015!! Think I can do that? lol. It also made me rethink what I've picked for all y'all this year. I suppose I'm Candy OCD, but I HAVE TO MATCH.... my first year, 2013, I sent PolkaDots. 2014 I did a variety of KaffeFasset. 2015 is a surprise still but it matches and I hope you're all happy. I can't change what I've picked, I'm ready for 2015!

It was fun while sorting to get a batch of bow/wob and a set of creamOB/BOcream. I love my pile of teals, and purples and pinks and reds and greens and.... oh gosh EVERY color!!! And I can't say I was unhappy with any. I wondered if I would be, I heard rumors of thin, or miss-cut or blends. Maybe I'm not as picky as I thought ORRRRRR everyone sent great Candy!!! I choose to think the later and I hope nobody is upset with my post. I'm really just excited with my big pile and I wanted to share at the beginning of our 2015 Birthday Candy Swap the potential we all have for our birthday this year!!!

Oh I know Stella will win but all I hear is Marlin and see the rain! But gosh she sure has pretty Blue eyes.
