I hope everyone has a nice weekend either spoiling your own mom for mother's day or being spoiled yourself.

My mom is in Florida right now, my first mother's day to not see my mom (ever! in 55 years).

We will be spending time with in laws and my daughter's family.

Tell us how you spent your day...............

Daughter had a "procedure" but not surgery. I have surgery this Tuesday. I will be surrounded by family and have good attentive care for awhile. I hope as the days pass and I get the medicinal cob webs out of my head that I can do a little quilting. I have may Farmer's Wife blocks to do and a couple of baby quilts to cut and sew and a wheel chair quilt blocks on the flannel wall to stitch together. It would be a joy to just set aside work for a couple of days and enjoy my quilting. If I can't do anything else I lurk around the Quilting Board !!!

Hi Barb, this is a quick check in. All my candy packages are out for May and I've heard they've all been rec'd except for the one for MaT but it's early.

I spent my mother's day with my mother, my sister and my DH. Mom and sis moved in here a few weeks ago due to medical considerations. It's an adjustment for all of us, not the least of whom is my DH. He took me out for an ice cream cone to celebrate the day, a tiny gesture but precisely what I needed. Both my grown sons called me from points afar and so I spent some time speaking with both of them. All in all, not a bad day.

Hi All. I spent Mother's Day with my three daughters at the home of Adrienne. All three gave me small presents and flowers for my patio pots. Then I had a lovely brunch cooked to perfection by the three, Aimee, Adrienne, and Arlette. Then we had Strawberries with Angel Food Cake and fresh Whipped Cream and a lovely Sparkling Wine.
What a day to remember. I wish all of you many happy days to come.

So o had the last three cards ready for addressing and they disappeared. I wondered my house and searched. I sure put them someplace safe! I'm in Orlando now getting ready to watch my baby golf. I'll make new cars when I get home and get them out. I apologize that Karen's will be late... On a fun note, when my daughter's team arrived at their tournament they discovered my daughter was the face on all the golf banners!!! FUN!!!
