Received envelopes today from Anoka Quilter, TravelingGramma, and QuilterJody. Thanks! Looks like there are about 6 more to go.

My Mother's Day was lovely... my kids treated me to a surprise picnic on the Mississippi River in downtown Memphis, where we were visiting them. The weather was so perfect!

I also took my son's fiance's wedding gown with me for the final fitting, and it fit her perfectly! Size, length, everything! I am so relieved and thankful to have all those alterations DONE and not need any tweaking. She will look like a dream walking down that aisle.

hello everyone...sounds like we celebrated some really special mother's day!

WMUTeach...good luck with your surgery....let us know how you are doing when you can.

SheriR...that is awesome that your daughter is the "face" of the tournament! wow!

Sewbizgirl...you are very brave to work on fittings for a wedding dress. I would have no idea how to do that!

Only a few more days to our next birthday! Yeah Karen G!

I worked in alterations at a bridal shop several years ago, so I'm very familiar with wedding gowns! (Another little-known factoid about me...)

Bring on the next birthday and birthday princess!

Surgery is went smoothly yesterday. Most of the "cobwebs" are out of my brain today and I am spending the day in bed with good books, "dandy lions" from a grandson, Facebook that I never get to peruse and a nap this afternoon. I foresee some simple quilting tomorrow and Friday. Hand work at least then putting together some rows of blocks that I made a couple of weeks ago. I will count is as part of my recovery therapy!

WMUTeach, glad all is well after your surgery. Hope you enjoy your quiet recovery time.

KarenG, only a few hours until your big day! Let me say Happy Birthday tonight, as I won't be around until later in the day tomorrow. Hope you celebrate it BIG!

    Eat cake for me....

    Hello Everyone!
Wow it has been a busy May! I had 10 customer quilts come in, 6 of which were king sized! I've been a busy bee quilting like crazy and so grateful for the business. This business is feast and famine....I have months with nothing and then BOOM! Hope everyone is doing well. We are also so grateful for our lovely weather here in El Paso and have been praying for the other parts of our country who have been less fortunate.
