Sewbizgirl - so glad your colonoscopy turned out okay, in spite of the painful trapped air. My husband had one last week and they removed a polyp that was definitely pre-cancerous, so it scared me enough to submit my own body to the procedure
I will be scheduling one next month!
May has been a busy month for me with not a lot of time to quilt. I have decided to go back to Nursing after a break of almost 18 years and I am taking a remedial course in order to reinstate my RN license. It is kicking my butt big time, but let me tell you.... I am actually doing extremely well in the class and I'm proud of myself
Anyway, I really want to make the candy dresdens, so after I complete my Pediatrics test I am going to hit my sewing machine hard.

Working on those little dresdans, got 20 done and am thinking of making 2 table runners. At least that is the plan so far.
Awesome you are re-upping your nursing license, lots of work but I'm sure you will get it done.
I heard you ladies and thanks for the encouragement, after all my tests in the morning, I will make the appointment and get it done. I'm still dreading it but will do it....

Yay Jaba... good decision. After one you will see it was nothing to dread.
Can't wait to see your baby dresden table runners. Not sure what I will end up doing with mine.
Tonight I'm playing with my little paper pieced blocks for the Farmer's Wife 1930's blocks QAL. So much fun. I joined in late but I'm having fun playing catch up, making the blocks from Laurie Hird's book.
Also piecing the Scrappy Mountain Majesties blocks. Those are amazing.
My little pile of Dresden candy is just waiting for me.
Moonrise, only 4 'sleeps' til the big day!

Good morning. this past weekend I taught myself how to pp. Once I got the basic steps down, making sure I put the pieces on facing the correct way, it really became a cinch. I moved onto Bonnie Hunter's Wild and Goosey blocks. The point of all that is the pic below.

I used some of the candy squares from the last couple of years in the blocks. As I plan you make many more of these, the squares will definitely come in handy. As my mistakes are becoming fewer, the next set should be better yet. Eight 3 1/2 inch unfinished blocks and a million to go.
Today it will be back to the dresdens for me.
