Thanks for the patterns Sewbiz girl. I really like #1 and #4. You are always so good at giving ideas of great patterns for our little candies. Thank you for that.

You are welcome... it's cause I'm a Pinterest Junkie, LOL! I also spot them on the QB and try to share. It would be good to seperate these "postage stamp" type quilts from my other scrap patterns and start a Pinterest board just for them.

Hi Dotty, We were partners in a mug rug swap!

You will love this swap. It's a little community that has fun all year long!

The rules say 50 unique blocks? Does that mean no duplicates or several of one print? Thanks, Dotty

No duplicates Dotty, 50 different fabrics. But you can send the same 50 to the others in the swap

I'm glad you asked that question, Dotty, because I was one of the first birthdays in the current year's swap, and we had several newbies who sent out like 8 squares each of 6 different prints. Disappointing, to say the least! We want every one to be different, so we can make charm quilts with all different prints.

One of the easiest ways to cut these is to stack 2.5" strips and cross cut them. Then you will have a little pile of the same fabrics for each person in the swap. Repeat your stacking and cutting until you have 50 total in all your stacks... for each birthday. Some people like to do just a few month's birthdays at a time, and have them ready to go out. Others like to go ahead and cut for everyone in the swap all at once. I try to keep many months ahead so I am not late for anyone's birthday.

We've had pinked edges on squares before in this swap... like from someone quartering a charm square. I don't see why you couldn't cut up jelly rolls.

    What does Barb say?

Works for me, a lot of them that I have received have had pinked edges. They all sew together Dotty This year I had so many FQ's that were just sitting on the shelf, from the FQ swap, that I cut them up to share. I think I have enough for 50 people now....eek!!!
