lol MizMelly I was in AZ in July a few years ago. Very hot but I could breathe easier...I have asthma and here in humid MI it is a battle.
trish b, I'd take 90+ any day!! Today's scorcher is 118, although the national news likes to pump that up to 120. Not quite (we hope). It is going to be 117 tomorrow and then a "cooling trend" to 113 by Tuesday and 112 the rest of the week.
I do not own a dryer (because I have the best "free" dryer called a clothesline). I had the laundry on the line by 6:30 this morning, and it will be off by 7:30, then I'll put on the mister for the outdoors kitties the rest of the day into the evening so they at least can stay semi-cool. It's pretty brutal out here during June. By July, the temps are a "bit" cooler because the humidity cranks up and we're in what we in Arizona refer to as "Monsoon" season, when we get dust storms and strong thunder storms. We natives look forward to monsoon because it breaks the monotony of the dry heat and gives us weather and possibly rain. It's a major event here in the valley!!
So, I'm envious of those people experiencing the 90's. We call that spring and fall here!

Dj...your quilt is amazzzzzzzing! Very inspiring!!!!!!!!!! I like how you added the black and white border. The inside of the quilt is so cool when I look at it I see shapes of hearts, bows and zig zags. I have been working on a PSQ for awhile now. I make leaders and enders and have quite the box full. You have inspired me to dig out the box and see if it is enough for a quilt.

This is a 2" PSQ (Postage Stamp Quilt) I've been working on for a few years, trying to not duplicate any charms except for the yellow & black band with the states charms. It takes a while to make a non-repeat PSQ & not for the faint of heart, but oh so rewarding. Hubby is with the DoD USAF & just returned from jobs in Alaska & Hawaii & brought home wonderful fabric and all kinds of wonderful goodies, guess he feels bad I had to work & couldn't go along.

Well, we are in a cooling trend today! Weather service says 116, but currently it's 114 and heat usually peaks around 4:00 PM, which is now. So MAYBE we aren't going to get quite so hot?
Ok, ok. Arizona's big joke when people can't believe how hot it gets, we just say "But it's a dry heat"!

Awesome picture! ![Smile](https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images/smilies/smile.png)
July names received. The first two will go out in the morning, and the rest will go out ASAP (ran out of stamps).
Just to let y'all know: I'll be away from the computer starting later this week, but I'll be back online around July 5.
