Hello friends! Just wanted to pop in to assure you all that I'm still here. All July cards were mailed on Tuesday. I'm not here on QB much anymore. I have found a vibrant community of quilters on Instagram whose aesthetic is much more modern than what is typically found here, and I really like that style. Right now I am participating in a few swaps over there. The first was a challenge to make a mini using only black and white with maybe a pop of one color. The second was to make a star mini (which I have to redo since the design I used was too ambitious for my piecing abilities for now) I'm also doing a traveling quilt bee which is like a round robin, only you only add to one or two sides. SEW much fun! I urge you to check it all out if you are so inclined. I'm @zanytaylor over there.
I really like the community aspect of our hobby, even with no real life friends who sew, I now kinda know people all over the globe.
I hope everyone is doing well. It's hot in CT too, and muggy to boot. The first time I went to the desert southwest it was late June, and I thought the air felt like something from another planet! It was hot at 105 degrees, but I could breathe, it felt so weird to me.

Sent first two July Birthday envelops early this week. Last two out.... may be tomorrow. It is a very full day and I about three hours to myself. It is a toss up between go to the post office for stamps or add the binding to a UFO or ..... HUMMM what a quandary.
