    Hello everyone
Happy belated birthday to our birthday twins....Fraew and Onaemtnest Hope you both enjoyed your day.

I am backing from camping and yes I am still married! It is like a "Laurel and Hardy go camping" If it has a chance of going wrong it does.....
We met some really nice people while camping and we went with the idea of finding a campground and keeping our camper there for the entire summer next year. The campground we were at was beautiful with rolling hills, pool and hot tub, tennis and pickle ball courts plenty to do. The only draw back it is about 40 minutes to Lake Michigan. And when you live in this beautiful state surrounded by Great Lakes you just wanta be close to one. We did visit 5 other campgrounds while we were out in Western Michigan but none of them were as nice as the one we were at. Probably going to be a compromise someday. We also decided we are really not at the right age to become "Seasonaly campers" there were 2 groups.... the young group that have children and the retired group. We fall in between. The young group....mom stays at camp (the kids go amuck) dad goes to work and visits on the weekend. The retired group.....well I am just jealous of them. They stay the summer at camp then go to one of those beautiful warm states down south. hmmmmmm. We also figured out that we would have to camp 60 nights to make it equal out in cost. I don't think Mr Queen Bee could handle me that long in a "tiny house". Besides no place for sewing! He is gonna have to learn to back that camper up!!!! He is all about getting a "fifth wheel camper" because he was told they are easier to maneuver and back up. Not sure if that is in the budget right now.

Glad to see the candies pouring in! Thanks for the showing pictures of your candy. It is a delight to see those sweet little squares. Thanks to everyone here we are getting all of the packages off to the birthday girl on time! YEAH! Thanks so much for making my job a whole lot easier!

While on vacation we did go to some Quilt shops and Micro Breweries ...good combination if you want to get more goodies while with the hubby. Just sayin'.

I went to 5 quilt shops and purchased their row....last year I went all over getting patterns (not many kits) and have not done any yet. so I decided this year to pick out 9 rows and buy the kit and I 'm gonna make a quilt. YEP .

Also I have an extra pattern from each of the shops I went to (another reason to bring hubby) so I am going to use the extra patterns as prizes! Hope that sounds good to everyone.

I will post the next step to the QAL hopefully today....I have 3 of my grandkids coming for the day and spend the night so I am not sure I will be able to get to it today. For sure by Sunday.

Glad you survived the camping, Barb. Maybe you can learn to back up the camper and do a better job of it than hubby? I admire all the retirees who camp so much. They must be really easygoing of temperament. I like being at home... but maybe that is because we live out in the middle of the woods, out in the country. It's like camping every day, only with a house to sleep in and no other campers.

Can't wait to see your rows! I love making them. I learned a lot about applique making my RxR quilt.

I hope our birthday girls will show us some PICTURES... Love to see everyone's candy. My 4 for August are sitting in the mailbox today, waiting for the mailman to pick them up.
