Love it happylab! Spent the day cutting off 3 yard cuts of all the blenders I have. Put 4 "kits" together of quilts I want to make this winter and started a list of things I need to take....blades, rotary cutter, pins, pin cushion, thread, etc. etc. Better pack my b-day candies too, don't want to run out of things to do and the cards and envelopes for the new b-day ladies. I'm sure something will be forgotten but a lot of it will be there.

happylab, that is beautiful... and HUGE! Lots of pretty candies to look at. You'd never get bored.

Jaba, so much fun planning to winter in Florida. Hope all goes smoothly and you and the hubby love it.

Love it, happylab. What a feast for the eyes. How many candies did you use?

Typing is difficult. Surgery over and more damage than expected. No pain but still on a pain pump. I feel like a helpless lump. Want to be useful and get to work. Monday................ no quilting for 6 to 8 weeks minimum because of how we use our wrists to cut, sew, even sort scraps. Bummer! I am sad today. A couple more days will bring back my sunshine. Thanks for prayers and words of encouragement. I will be lurking daily.

Sorry you are feeling overwhelmed WMUTeach. It will be worth it later if you follow dr.s orders and totally rest now. You want the wrist to heal right! Hope you enjoy some movies, reading, naps, etc. in the mean time. 6 weeks isn't forever and you'll be feeling better and better day by day. I'm glad you are not in pain.

Happylab, love the AR Crossroads. One of these days I will get to work on mine and will be sharing pictures with everyone.

WMUTeach, I completely concur with Sewbizgirl's encouragement. Rest. Treat your healing like a job by intentionally resting. I know it's hard, but if you are good to it for six weeks, it'll pay off by being stronger than ever. This is the time for dreaming and planning.

Are there September birthdays? I haven't heard anything yet and need to know by tomorrow afternoon so I can prep for them before going out of town.
