Anoka Quilter...I just read the directions for the "Growing up Odd" quilt. They say to use 2" squares. Are you cutting the squares to make them 2" or are you using them 2.5"

Okay...hope you are using 2 1/2" squares...so my other question is...are you making the same # of squares and your quilt will be bigger?

    thanks Barb

Anoka Quilter, I only had them because of being in the FQ swap for so long. In most cases I need more than that for the quilts I make. They are lovely FQ's so I figured this was a good way to use them.

No, I am not re-cutting the squares. I am using them at 2 1/2". Haven't quite decided what I am going to do. I don't think I want it bigger, as it is pretty good sized already. For now I am just going to start constructing blocks . I will be sure to keep everyone posted. Wonder how far I will get between now and March 1st. Remember, I am only working on this for 15-30 minutes a day. It is not going to be my main focus.

I posted on my last swap as well, and added the thread link to my signature for advertising.

Fabric ready to cut, just waiting to find out how many are participating. Oh, have 5 pkgs left from last year, will send to newbies to avoid sending duplicates to last years swappers, if last year's participants think that my charms were acceptable for newbies. Please let me know. Thanks!
    sisterly hugs,

I have got 12 packets of 50 charms prepared. I need a headstart on this since I'll be in the hospital and rehab for about 8 weeks to fix a bad knee replacement. I'm very excited since this is my first swap ever!
