Wow! Everyone is so ambitious! Me? Well, I have had no less than 3 commission t-shirt quilts since Thanksgiving. The first one was a beast -- a California King 101" X 108". That one is done, quilted, bound and out the door. I'm currently working on a Queen at the moment (another t-shirt quilt) that will be 80" X 90". I've just about got the top pieced, it goes off for a quick machine quilting on Thursday. Between now and Thursday I have ONE MORE tshirt quilt to do -- a Full, which will thankfully be a little smaller. I am only doing tops now -- in the past I was charging for the whole thing, including the materials purchase. Well, now that I'm retired, I just do tops and binding, the machine quilting is the responsibility of the clients. I found a very reasonable machine quilter who is also very quick, and bless him, he will have both the Queen and the Full cranked out in enough time for me to do bindings before the 24th!
However, this has left me with no time to finish gifts for friends and family. Doh!!! Oh well, it's Christmas and I'll be happy that three clients got their wish for lovely gifts for family!

Sheri, sorry you are ill, and hope it goes away soon! And I know the feeling about having a machine that is not working! I had my main machine in for servicing, and was working on a quilt swap that I needed to get finsihed, so I pulled my small portable Singer Featherweight II out of the closet, and proceeded to shred the gears. Yup, those cheap Singers are basically disposable machines. It couldn't be repaired, and went in the dumpster at the repair place. Now, I'm short a backup portable machine, but lusting after a Janome Platinum Gem 720. Hopefully after the first of the year I'll be able to afford that so I can start going to classes again!
