I think a colored binding would make it perfect. It's a beautiful quilt Jaba, it will work with what ever you choose. Be sure to post a photo when you are finished!

Jaba...beautiful quilt...love to see what everyone makes with their candies. I think a thin binding with the darker color of your sashing would look nice.

Can't wait to start the quiltalong with y'all... Hope my pinky is better healed by then. The other night, cutting I Spy squares, I sliced off the tip of my left pinky with a new Olfa rotary cutter! Those unguarded blades are DANGEROUS! I cant do a thing right now... and can barely type! I'm going back to my Fiskars cutter-- much safer.

Wow, Wow, Wowzers Janice referring to your post #246 what a stunning addition of the the Storm At Sea sashing. The neutral color just accentuates your blocks and doesn't detract from those beautiful colorful blocks! If this were mine I would audition my favorite color be it teal, green, blue whichever with a strip on your design wall to see if a bright border draws the eye away. Just looking at it I think it's stunning just as is, whatever you choose to do it will still be amazing I think with the SAS element you used for sashing the blocks.

Oh I wince at your cut pinky, sewbizgirl. I have always had a healthy fear of the rotary cutter. I had the old style Olfa for years and was gifted with one that automatically covers the blade when you release the handle. I still wince when on the board someone reports a cut or worse yet a visit to the emergency room. Heal quickly...bright side maybe someone else has to do the dishes for you

Jaba, I don't think I would do a colored border as I too feel it would detract from the quilt. I like the idea of just doing the binding in the darker color that was used in the SAS blocks.

After auditioning upteen things, I put a 2 1/2" border of the off white all the way around. After it get's quilted I'm going to use the "diamond" fabric for the sashing. Now just to get it quilted

Ha ha... love the Peyton Manning analogy, Barb! Pinkie is still messed up but I'm using it anyway. Just have to keep it wrapped and clean. Wish it would hurry up and heal.

Hubby already does most of the dishes... I'm blessed he likes to keep the sink clean. If only he would apply that principle to the garage!
