FYI to all! I finished packing my treats for this coming year! I had the help of Bob Hope, Bing Crosby and Abraham Lincoln. Sorted, counted, wrapped and in envelopes! Waiting for a whole month gives me plenty of time to forget where I put the envelopes. (Now, if I forget where there are and begin to whine about it.... they are in the bottom cupboard of the quilt cupboard!) Waiting for Friday and our first quilt along!!

Hey, everyone....

So excited for things to get rolling. My candies are all cut, stacked and ready to be mailed. I will be on vacation starting tomorrow through March 14th so shouldn't have any delay in being able to get the first round of candies mailed on time.

I'm actually 90% done with my first "real" scrap quilt - the scrappy swoon quilt. I went a little outside my comfort zone on this one and actually made it in brown (my least favorite color), teal and cream. Even more uncomfortable was that I made brown the dominant color. I LOVE IT !!!! Will post pictures once it is finished. I hope to finish piecing the top before I leave for vacation tomorrow but not sure how DH will feel about my last minute "sewing before packing" plan.

Yay... another player! And I actually made an extra set when I was cutting because I forgot to exclude myself (blush).
It's so kind of you to make our sheet, Nora, and even update it. I rely on the sheet through the year.

Welcome to Immana! I made a smaller Scrappy Swoon with my candies. I would love to see yours, full size and in brown, teal and cream. That's such a pretty color combo. Care to post a photo?

My scrappy swoon made with 2" squares. Keep in mind I don't like the color brown And now I want to make a sunflower-ish scrappy swoon. Where cream is = yellow petals, center all brown instead of the middle teal star. Not sure what to do with the teal diamond areas and not sure if there would be enough petals. Something to ponder....
