I am working on the QAL. I don't have any candies, but I found a jelly roll pack and decided it needed to be utilized.

Wow... I found out that not all strips are created equal. Never knew that a jelly roll could contain strips that were everything BUT 2.5"

Anyway, I love seeing the candy creations! You ladies have a knack for bringing little pieces of fabric to life in a way that inspires me greatly. This is fun

I always think of these candy scrappies that they are like an album of fabrics. You get to see a small sample of everything out there!

Cross cutting a jelly roll is a great way to get candies, WholeheartMom. Good idea!

Haven't had much time to sew as too many other things creep in to take my time, but I am making note of all the clues and hope to tackle this one real soon. Have a convention that I need to attend next weekend so have been busy getting things ready for that. I have my candies sorted, so that is step one

Thanks, I seem to have orange galore in my stash! I actually chose that because it went well with the backing fabrics, which I didn't show.

I have been hoping that no one is insulted by the simplistic instruction in my QAL. We are at different levels of experience on this board (like in any group) and I wanted to write to the beginner level so that anyone can try it. I'm sure the more experienced quilters can just take a glance at the pictures and get it! I always write my knitting and crochet patterns this way, too. I want everything to be clear and simple so anyone will be successful.

I'm looking forward to the other QALs we will have.... They are fun!

Got the snowball blocks done today. Just one question, do you want us to sew the center together or leave it in separate blocks???
