dj, I've really enjoyed following your progress and can't wait to see the completed quilt! Have you been following the 365 Day Challenge? Today's block and the March 12th block are 6'' finished blocks if that helps you finish up.

Jaba, how about a red for the "x" and a cream, or another contrasting purple, for the triangles.

This is what I think of when I hear Red Hatters. I like this one. The black? Not so much!

If you are going to use a black and white background, it really has to be mostly white. Something that "reads" as white with a little interest on it.

Your X blocks are really dominant looking. I think part of it is that your snowball corners are so big. They are usually the same size squares as you have in your 16 patches. Not that it's wrong that way, just an explanation for why it comes out different.

What I had in mind was the smaller red corners like in your first photo, and then a mostly white background. A white with thin script on it would be awesome with those colors.

jaba: How about gray and purple for those X blocks? I love gray and purple together.

sewbizgirl they are big because I didn't sew them together, they're just pinned. Would end up the same size as our QAL. Then thought about this star....
Imanna that would be great but I have to incorporate some red in it for Red Hatter'sAt least I'm giving you lots of pics today
