Jaba, I like the red star. The red center of the star really stands out as a kind of "hat".

I also liked what Sewbizgirl said about using smaller red triangles... maybe with a light lavender/cream/white background. I think that would be lovely as well!

I am only using 6 blocks, for a baby quilt. It's so pretty, it may go in my Grandma Hope Chest. Not rushing my kids,
just saving some things. I think I'll fussy cut some cute raccoons for the next one! Photo up soon.

How about a very small red print on white? I have one in my head that is flowers and small vines. I might be a Civil War reproduction or a rip off of that era. I can image it making the red/purple pop but not be too heavy of a contrast.

Jaba: sewbizgirl they are big because I didn't sew them together, they're just pinned. Would end up the same size as our QAL. Then thought about this star....

DUH! I should have seen that... sorry. I can't see your red star pic, either. Did you take it down?

Never mind, Jaba... I see it's a problem this website is having. Pictures aren't showing up and I can't "reply with quote" or edit a post, either. Hope they get it fixed soon.

Made another one that I think will make the 16 patch "pop" but it won't let me post a pic. Maybe in the morning...will try again

I cannot see any of the pictures with attachments. They come up with a quarter inch blank square.

The Quilting Board is having some technical problems.... lots of things are not working. I hope they get it straightened out today.

okay glad I read all of the new posts. I thought I broke my computer!!!! I did an update (hate to do those never know what will happen) so I thought it was only me that was not seeing pictures and links. phewwwwww


Okay really good news....I'm not going to be on this thread for the weekend.....I'll be getting a baby!

My daughter is going into the hospital tonight and they will induce tomorrow. So excited to meet grand baby number 6. All we know is it's a girl but no name has been give up. Maybe that will be the contest when I get back.

Thanks so much for the nice things that you ladies said about my Slice 'n dice quilt. I will be able to post more pictures now that I know how. Probably of that new baby.

I will be back by the 20th to post the April birthday names.
