My current PSQ (90% finished) is 2" squares. The next one is 1.5" so that's what I'm looking for.

Dotty love the little "coons", they are awesome!! Made the other 12 blocks today on the Red Hat Quilt, then ordered a CD for embroidery to do in the red blocks. Now to wait until it gets here. Think it needs some purple hats Will work on the QAL quilt tomorrow. Thanks for the instructions sewbizgirl, no need to fret.

Arkansas Crossroads QAL Step 3 Pictures:

So far, we have put together the 16 patch blocks, and also the X blocks to comprise our quilt. Now it is time to join these to complete the quilt center, and then make the border blocks.

Returning to our layout, be sure you have the X blocks in the proper placements to complete your colored motifs. (If you are making the 'all scrappy', random-colored version, you can place the X blocks between any two 16 patches, as appeals to you.)


Next, join your blocks to complete the center. Press as desired.

Holy Moly!! This website has problems! I tried to go back and repost the QAL with pictures in their proper places, and it only took the first five lines of text and all the photos. I could not put the rest of the text up, even using editing. The board administrator was no help at all. She doesn't understand the problem. No matter how few words I post, an error message comes up and tells me I have 90,000 characters of text and I need to trim it to 10,000 or less! As you can see above, I only posted about 5 lines of text.... more that 10,000 characters? I think NOT.

I am sorry. I formatted this really nicely for you all (several times!) and all that work is down the drain. Hopefully looking at the pictures in the second post (#485) will fill in the questions you may have from the all-text post (#475). This is the best I can do with the board as it is.

sewbizgirl, you are doing a great job! If we feel the need to we can print out what we need. It's all there and can't thank you enough. Now rest and put it behind you, it is a job well done.

Thanks Phyllis! Maybe the board will be straightened out by the time we finish our QAL and I will be able to post the entire thing in the Tutorials section. Here first, then tutorials....
