I just received my first list of names! Even though my birthday is in April I was pleasantly surprised to see my name there.
    Barb, your grandbaby is adorable!
Jaba, as usual your quilts are beautiful. I especially love your red hat quilt.
Fraew love the colors in in your quilt, never thought of doing batiks.
Sewbizgirl, thanks for showing the way you pack your birthday charms.
All the quilts are beautiful, you all make me so envious but in a good way.
    Now to work!

I've got my three envelopes ready to mail today! I may be early, but I'd rather mail after I get names and addys than to wait til closer to the date since you never know what the post office is going to do.
I'll take a pic of how I mail my candies. I use a 6" X 9" envelope, and line up two stacks of 25, then wrap in plastic wrap and press flat. That and a birthday card weigh less than 2 oz, and the 6" X 9" goes for the letter rate. I had to question the postal worker (she was young) and made her get out the template to see if the size fit and it would pass through the machine. I also bought my 2 oz stamps at the same time as I had that test envelope weighed. It works!!
PS. I fell off the wagon with getting any sewing done. I had to make an Easter basket for next Sunday.

Rot, having problems uploading a pic. I keep getting a message saying upload failed.

I buy bigger birthday cards from the dollar store. Then stagger the squares across one side. Then wrap them -along with one side of the card- with saran, to help keep the envelope flat.

The picture is probably too big. The website will only let you upload very small photos. Can you resize it?

Birthday girls, they are in the mail. Surprise surprise....bought the large cards from the dollar store this time, 6 rows of 8 with 2 on top, put in envelope, postman weighed, put through the slot and behold each one was 49 cents. I said are you sure, yep!! I'm shocked, last year was $1.41 each

Next month I am going to try that Jaba. I have sent this size before with a 71 cent stamp with no trouble. Now I am going to get them weighed and see if it makes a difference.
