Great to see some chit chat here....everyone getting to know each other.
so far we are at 20 swappers.....I am hoping to get 10 more to join us. so if anyone knows of someone who might want to join please go and invite them.
I will keep this open until 2-14 or until we get 30 swappers. I will then post all of the names and birthdays for the the swap. So far we do not have any birthday in March! Sewbizgirl with an early April birthday may be starting us off.
I will keep you all updated.

Got my referral, so pretty sure I'm in! I started cutting strips last night, so I'm on my way! My goal is to have all my candies done and packaged up, ready to send by next weekend. I was cutting strips on my accuquilt, but then cutting the 2.5" squares using a new accurate ruler. However, I'm getting wrist fatigue, so think I'll use the cutter to do the squares too. And I already have an idea in mind for using my candies!! But it will have to wait. My B-day is on the tail end of Christmas!!! Looking forward to this swap!!

Today someone posted two pretty postage stamp quilts in the Scrap Quilt Show thread that could be adapted for our candies. Scroll down about halfway, to the first pictures on that page:

Ok, I've been mulling this for a while and I've seen this in the past. I want to make stuffed teddy bears (maybe a cat or rabbit or dog) using the charms. What I will do is stitch the charms together to form a "fabric", then use fuseable fleece on the back side to stabilize and strengthen, and then machine quilt a design onto the pieces before cutting out the pattern and stitching together!! I think I'll make one with my extra squares as a prototype. I'll post pics!!
I'm always full of ideas for other crafty items utilizing my quilting fabrics!!

Please share your idea with us! We collect ideas for these candy charms.
