Thank-you sewbizgirl for your reply, I was so hoping it was okay to send when we received the names. I do hope that those that receive the packages way early have the will-power to save the packages until their Birthday dates!

Hi all, I received three packages yesterday. JENNR8R, sewbizgirl and patricks mom.
Thank you to all! I hope I can wait till my birthday to open all my birthday packages. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can!

Sewbizgirl, thank you for leading the QAL. Although I did not participate I plan on making this quilt real soon. I will be sure to post pictures when I do.

All my time lately has been devoted to my UFO king size quilt that I started a couple years ago for our bed. It is now on the quilting frame with only 4 more rows to go. It will be nice to have this one off my UFO list. The plus side if that I do have all my fabrics sorted out for the blocks. Was working on that as the quilt was being stitched.

I found an pattern idea for us to use our squares in! Found it on www.weddingdressblue.com. She called it the Calico Rose quilt along. From last year. Pattern also uses half-square triangles.
I'm going to use some of my squares to make one of these--for myself! Also maybe a smaller one for a "blessing" quilt.
I like that the pattern makes 16" finished blocks, when using our squares.

Just got back from Easter holiday and had candy packages waiting in the mailbox! I received from Imanna, PatricksMom, Rosemary Attaway and Moonrise. Thank you so much, ladies!! I'll be good and save them for 4/9!

Going to leave feedback for you all now.... <3<3<3<3

If you enjoy working with small pieces, check pout the Splendid Sampler. This is a very creative series, free, and fun.
We are on block #13 but you can go back and see the blocks. A Facebook group shows wonderful work being made.
My first 12 blocks are dedicated to the election of my preferred candidate.

Here's the link for the Calico Rose quilt along Mariposa mentioned. Cute! I'm currently working on the Growing Up Odd quilt pattern from the same site but using 1.5" squares.
