I had a mailbox full of goodie packages today! You ladies are doing a great job of getting your swaps mailed. Also this batch all had board names on the outside of the packages. You're awesome!

    I received from:

Gaijin, nls, fraew, djmat, and CLMay. Thanks so much, everyone!

I have almost all of them. Only 10 packages left to come in!

I like my version of Arkansas Crossroads, but I wish I had done it differently. I used a small jelly roll that I had bought on clearance years ago, and unfortunately I didn't have enough to fill the sides with the partial 16 patches. It looks different than what I thought, but

This picture doesn't show the color very well, but it is a concrete-type gray with a mixture of pink, gray, white, and black metallics. I have affectionately called it "Pink Granite". I am hoping that a border will perk it up a little bit, but I am having a tough time deciding on a fabric to round it out.

Anyway, thank you Sewvbizgirl for your wonderfully fun QAL! It got me to use up a jelly roll that had been stashed away for a few years and I had a great time Can't wait for the next one!

Wholeheart Mom, what a pretty quilt. I really like the fabrics in your jelly roll. If mine I would probably try to find something to match the darker purple for the border. I think that would really make it pop.

WH Mom~ very pretty quilt in the making! Love your color choices! I'd perhaps go with a smaller border of a pink, followed by a purple border. jmho~

WH Mom, love your quilt! Sugguest: Narrow light Pink, narrow medium Lavender, & a little wider deep Purple binding. It will be wonderful which ever way you decide.

So glad the pkgs are arriving. Thanks for the positive feedback!
    hugs,
    dj

April birthday treats left my hands this morning. I am off to my quilt retreat tomorrow. I am not sure if it is the quilting with friends or the joy of getting away from the office that I like best. Either way, I always have a wonderful time and come home refreshed and with new quilts in hand. This year two baby quilt tops. Ta-Ta and see y'all on Monday!
