QAL question....I am doing the part in step 3 (I think) that I am sewing all the 16 patch and X together. Was I suppose to cut the extra part of the X's off before sewing together.????? hope this makes sense.

I talking about the part in the "X" that is the triangle. I folded it over and ironed it. You said that you don't cut it. I am wondering do I cut it now or can I leave it on. (hope you say leave it on.) because I have. will the thickness int he fabric be hard to quilt?

    Hope this makes sense.barb

Oh, sure... now I understand you! On mine I left the extra thicknesses on. You will hardly notice them. If you cut anything off, let it be the middle piece only. I would leave the original square's corner, for stability. Some people cut both off, but I have better results keeping everything square if I leave those other layers on.

Not going to make much difference in quilting... unless maybe you are hand quilting.

Finally got all my loot laid out and photographed. Just wanted you all to see what you are in for, when your turn comes! I LOVE MY LOOT! And it took three photos to get it all in....

Many thanks again for making my day special. And thanks for all the extras, too. YOU ROCK, Birthday Girls!

Sewbizgirl, looks like you had a wonderful birthday! Good for you! Just 13 days for me then I can open all my candies. I will do the same and take a photo and post it.
I have two more pkgs of candies, one from anoka quilter and two from Barb and another from jabba. Barb thank you for the prize, I didn't expect that! Jaba, You really surprised me with the 2.2" strips! I am surprised that you remembered that I liked that size. Thank you so very much and thanks to all for the candies. Looks like only 4 left to get here!
