Maybe I can share something in that thread tomorrow. I'm working on some of the Farmer's Wife 1930's blocks, in paper piecing. Also sewed a shirt today... does that count for anything?

happylab, I'll be looking for your project in the VQW thread tomorrow. Glad you found the missing fabric squares.

Phyllis, I am going to the big Quilt Week in Paducah next week and will be traveling next weekend. I may not get a chance to say "Happy Birthday" on your big day next Sunday, so let me be the first to wish it early!

Paducah is my birthday gift to myself! Always wanted to go...

Just checking in with all this month of April. I spend part of yesterday and today working on my version of Calico Rose from Wedding Dress Blue. About half finished. It sure was fun to read that I needed 5" squares and just as I began to moan, I remembered a shoe box of 5" squares I cut several summers ago! Yeah! More stash disappeared. OK, some stash was used but not enough. I am on a mission this spring/summer to use up the 2.5 squares from last year and those that just seem to appear when I get motivated to cut scrapes into standard cuts. I want an empty box before this year's treats arrive in September. Keep sewing and have fun at your retreats, trips and sewing gems from your treats.
