I have been working on my Quilting Diva and if your not comfortable with applique then its hard. Really had to think a few things over. LOL! Anyway here is my Diva and I named her Ruby, not completely done and there are mistakes. Like I should have lined the skin tone or gotten something differnet. Ruby is laying on my ironing board, had hubby hold her up but wasn't a very good pic. Still have lots to do, still have to put bottom border on with the words and make the pin cushion then sew it all down.

Verna! I love Ruby! Did it take much time to do? I feel intimidated by the prospect of doing the Quilting Diva. Do you use the fusible web for the pieces? Do you sew them on? What do you recommend? How did you make the tag, " I heart quilting"?

Oh I love your Diva! She is adorable. What did you mean by lines on the flesh tones?

I haven't touched mine yet. Crispy, were you still going to do a Diva Quilt-Along? If not, I'll start shortly.

I just noticed, the mailing deadline is my bday! I should actually be able to remember that, without having to keep going back to the first page. Yay! Can't wait to get my name so I can shop for her.

Ok ladies...here are a couple of questions.

What are the tools or notions you absolutely love?

Is is there something on your wish list you hope to see in your next package? Be honest!

Ones I love: my rubber ended seam ripper. It grabs all those pesty loose threads and pulls them away without distorting the edge of the fabric. I got it a few months ago on this swap, actually!

I love my embroidery scissors because it has a super fine point, and a slight curve, so it doesn't cut the fabric when I don't want it to.

Those are my two gotta haves in my stash.
As for what I am looking for....it may sound silly, but I could really use a tube turner. I always rip my fabric with the safety-pin method ((embarrassed look))

    What about you, Tam....?

Oh, I really love my rubber ended seam ripper too. Lol Red.

For my threads I love Peels Thread Spool Huggers. They keep my threads in place on my different spools and I even have worn them as earrings to a retreat......Lol

For hand embroidery or hand hand stitching I really like silicone thimbles. They stick so nice to my fingers and don’t fall off like other thimbles and with my Rheumatoid Arthritis they don’t hurt my fingers like other thimbles do. They also help me when I need to pull the needle through my wool work that may be thick layers.

For what I hope to find in my next package: Fabric that represents your state or if you are international your country.
