I wish we could too girls. That would be fun. I have tried before but it just hasn't worked out to be more than a one time thing. I have been invited to join a quilt group twice and I didn't. I also was asked to be a guest teacher and turned it down gracefully. I suppose I love the convenience of coming here with my long time buds and talking quilting in my p.j.'s. LOL!

This is both set 1 and set 2 finished. And, believe me, you don't want to see 4 of those flamingo blocks together. A whole quilt like that and I would be a very unhappy person. Or, at least I would when I saw them together.

And, the first block. The centers will be slightly different. I used how the fabric was printed.

Yes, it would be great for a quiltboard meet up. But, I don't think it's in the cards. Although, I did enjoy the company of a fellow quiltboarder for about a year before she moved. We used to have a blast together. And, I used to get so much finished. But, most of all, we laughed a lot!!

But, I am still thankful that we all can meet on here and share ideas and swap and talk and laugh. I was blessed when I found the quiltboard with its boundless inspiration and warm quilty friends.

Now, it is onto applique mermaid's. I just need to scope out some fun background fabric. I hope you all are having as much fun as I am.

I'm not sure what I will do with the remaining 2 sets but, I will try to not make them beachy. I just live in Florida and my mind goes directly to the beach.

I'm thinking maybe a Hot Air Balloon. We usually have a huge Balloon festival each year.

    I love them, Judith!

I'm really getting excited about putting this quilt together. The Fall one we did was a huge hit with my family, I'm sure this one will be too!

I love the hot air balloon idea! They are really colorful, you could have so much fun designing the blocks!

Here is my first block, I'm not sure I'm overly excited about making four more (one for me!), but I will! I'm mostly done with #2 but will not have enough green for all of them... darn, a reason to go fabric shopping.
