Red, your quilt is stunning. It's interesting to see the scrappy and the specific color way version. Yours looks very traditional modern where mine takes on a very traditional scrappy look.

    Judith, your top is fantastic!
Cuppy, I was in that swap too! I really liked the how quick and easy the block was, and how it made such a cool pattern when sewn with other blocks. Here's what I made from my swap blocks:

I should have jumped into that swap. I love the combinations. All of them but I favor scrappy ladies.

Stunning givio! I have never seen a hunter's star done in scrappy. This just made my bucket list. I have older fabric and scraps and it is great to see patterns I can use them up in. Look at all the different blues in the border too. Nice!

Thank you girls. I think the scrappy version is very pretty too. I just find it hard not to have control, so I stick to traditional oftentimes.

Givio....your quilt looks amazing. Love both versions of this pattern shown. Gorgeous. This was a swap? I'd love to have the block pattern. Is there a link? I didn't see this on the swap thread but I didn't look too far...

Wow! I guess a Hunter’s Star quilt is now on my list. I love the impact of the controlled colorway. Gorgeous! Also, I loved seeing the scrappy ones. I think it would be fun to make them with my scraps and see what happens.

Someone said it was an easy block. I may play around with it after I get my blocks done for this swap of course.

For those that have made this block do you think it will be easier with a special ruler or is it fine just to use the regular quilt rulers?
