Here's my 2nd completed set..put your sunglasses on cuz it's BRIGHT!! This is 12 1/2 and depending on the block layout, I may trim this down cuz it may be a distraction that large and bright. We'll see. I will not be offended if you trim yours to 9 1/2 should you get this block from the swap. I'm fiddling with the kite block so I'm still working on that set. The last 2 sets will have to happen after the holidays. I took advantage of being sick and staying home to play with swap ideas. A pieced drunkards path was a first for me so I learned a new technique with this one. And, you should all feel special cuz I don't get in my polka dot stash for just anyone. 😊

Oooh, that is nice, Teen! Not too bright either

I'm be starting my blocks in in January, once the Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilt is done. I will be making watering cans, sandcastles, Overall Sam fishing, sweet corn and tomatoes and one more set yet to be decided. That may all change of course!

Great ideas, NZ! Can't wait to see what you come up with. Love the sandcastle idea. My last two, I think, will be an appliquéd lady bug (have the cutest background fabric for that) and I have some colorful camping fabric I need to figure out what to with still. Waiting for inspiration to hit.

Teen, your sunrays are perfect for summer. No sunglasses needed here. I love them.

Texastam, Welcome to the swap. I will sign you up.

Okay ladies ... Here is the start of my blocks. This first one is of the hurricane that hit the east coast this year. It was kind of the beginning of summer wasn't it? Irregardless, I have walked in summer squalls before and found it fun. (Not that I think the hurricane was fun, don't get me wrong)
I might put some drops coming off the side of the umbrella just for effect, we will see.
