I'm just wondering .... Do we prepare a label for WH? If so, what do you typically put on label? Swap info? Was just putting this package together and realized I should probably put a label on it. Thanks!

    Thumbs up

I guess I tend to be the overachiever and put a label, sleeve and binding on. I really appreciate binding. I find over time I might be forgetful and not remember who made it. I enjoy looking at the different little quilts and seeing who made them. Generally I do write on the quilt whom it is from or make a label if it comes in without. I really like labels in people's own handwriting. What I like seeing on a label is Swap it was from, date, person's board name and or regular name. I am thinking of no longer doing the sleeve. I normally drape the quilts or clip them onto a bar so I would not make a sleeve for myself unless it is a very large quilt I plan to hang up and even then. What do you do?

R-Sea love your cats. I am with Annaquilts and away put sleeve, label, and binding on mine and add a label to the WH I get if there is not label so I know who gave it to me. Teen, thank you and I am with your MIL, never again. Looking forward to seeing everyone's wall hanging.

R-sea...that turned out so adorable... Great WH.... Love the unique shape, like a banner, and the tassel. Very creative.

Thanks, all... I will make a label...easy enough....

R-sea, Love the kitties! I haven't decided yet what to do. I thought about something Christmas then thought a general thing. I bought a magazine from the UK and it's measurements are in mm and cm so I bought a ruler at Harbor Freight to give it a try. Maybe something from that magazine is a possibility. It shouldn't be hard but I am a creature of habit so this is way out of my comfort zone.

I just completed my wall hanging. Fusible flowers and leaves using browns, greens, and a hint of red. Measures about 46 inches square. Sent Rhonda a pm to say I have completed the Wh. Hope everyone stays safe and has a lovely end of summer bash this weekend.Hey, Skaduzy, I found mine on allpeoplequilt.com. They have lots of ideas and patterns. Just saying.

Thanks Donna, I will check that site out. I get emails from them but have to admit I don't look at them like I should.
Your wall hanging description sounds like something I would like.......

I have been busy in the sewing room, working on my WHing. It is ready to mail and since I have so much time left I may make another one so there might be a surprise switch up in the future.

I am back to working full time so my time in the studio is limited which is a downer so getting at least this small WHing finished feels good. It is small, about 15" sq., "A study in Dresden" with an autumn vibe.

I will say I am ready to mail and contacted Rhonda to let her know.
