October candies are in the mail. It's getting cold here in Wyoming, suppose to snow this weekend! Just waiting until doctors say we can go to sunny Florida, warm sunshine, swimming pool and grandchildren. We can hardly wait.

i think that’s the first four letter word Michigan babies learn, isn’t it?

I’m not much south of you but i’m South of the bigger snow fall line here in Indiana. I asked the dr one time if he had a pill that would cure “winter”.

I certainly wish it wasn't even a word!! Haven't figured out how to tell "mother nature" yet, she just doesn't listen well.

Rats, that is my favorite time of year to sit back with a mug of hot chocolate, a good book and to watch the birds and snow (oops, used it) decorate my view of the marsh behind my condo.

Oh, I forgot to say that I have been packing and addressing envelopes for the rest of 2019 this afternoon. The first two October Birthday envelopes are addressed, taped, stamped and ready to go in the mailbox in the morning.

That’s the problem WMUTeach, at some point you have to put the cocoa down and go outside!

I can go for days without leaving my safe little winter nest. And when I do, I love the adventure of the drifts, the ice, the wind in the pines and the winter moon on a clear night with giant flakes chasing each other around in front of my headlights. Yup, I do like my winter. Always have and can't think of any reason to leave the snow (oops, said it again!) of my Michigan mitten. To all you warm weather folks, enjoy it to the max, and I will enjoy my cold winter precipitation.
