    Good going, GramE!

I grabbed my “37” packages for a picture only to discover I have 36! I’m working on that 37th right now and will post a pic shortly of the completed packages, all 37.

You are right to notice I don’t have many solid color fabric. I’m drawn to busy.

Could we use solids in the birthday candies? I thought it had to be all different prints. If we have two fabrics with the same print design but different background colors, would they be considered the same or different? I have a few fabrics that are that way and was wondering if I could use them in the same birthday candy stack.

Queenbarbiej, I just don't buy solids unless I need it for what I'm working on. These all came out of my stash, so no solids in my stash. I have a few jelly strips that I cut that were same pattern different color setting. But they are not identical, but this is my first candy swap so I'm a newbie here.

I have cut out 24 sets of candy. Over the next few months I will cut the last 17 sets out. This year I'm using layer cakes for my candy. I hope you all like my selection. This year I leaned towards bright fabrics.

That would be wonderful happylab. I usually go towards darks and mediums.

You can use any print, solid, stripe, dots, reproduction, Civil War etc. or color for the swap. We just love our candy! Just make it fun for you and it will be fun for the rest of us too!

I keep changing my mind on what to cut into candy. I think I’ve decided now though and I’ll get them cut and packaged right away. I sort of gave a theme this year. In the past I’ve done dots, hounds tooth, kaffe, florals, 1800’s. This year I’m pulling totally from my stash. My husband should be so proud!!

The photos all look very nice. The little chicks look so cute and I love butterflys. Do I see these in my future? I can't post a photo and it is getting frustrating especially when I see all the beautiful photos that you all send in. Now, that is something I am going to do this year. i am going to take an afternoon and learn.
