All my July packages went in the mail today -- I hope you all have fun plans for the fourth. Our town is trying something different and doing fireworks on the 3rd instead of the 4th. They shoot them off our pier over Lake Michigan -- really beautiful. Logically it makes sense -- people were at the beach all day drinking and by the time fireworks happened in the sky we had already had them in the crowds. Near rioting a few times. Also, this will allow people to sleep in on the holiday. Again, logically it makes sense but....it's just not the 4th of July. But we have good family friends we always share the 4th with so good food and conversation. It's nice to stop, breathe, and think about how our country started.

Awh, your making me blush. Did the second package arrive already? It isn't August yet!! Tee-Hee-Hee. Enjoy all of the Birthday squares. I won't say more so as not to spoil the surprises for others who have not had their birthday yet.

Oh no - please keep safe - especially on this long holiday weekend. The town we are at is also doing their fireworks on July 3rd. But we will go to the July 4th parade a few towns over so no worries. Many of my relatives had fought for the freedom in 1700's that we take for granted today. And it means more to have my family around to celebrate. Happy Weekend everyone
