    Love those sailboats, Jenn!

NZ, I wish you had someone to help you. Might there be a teenager nearby to hire to come a couple of days a week? As for the garden, if it's overwhelming you, pull those plants up once you've had enough! Or let someone else come and get some veggies.... It's got to be tough to get out in the heat while you are battling morning sickness. Glad things are better on that front.

Linda, your scrap quilt is lovely! That should have made a good dent in your candy stash.

These are what I have been sewing lately. I made 4 summer outfits for each of my 3 grandkids.

What charming little outfits, Sewbizgirl. When I saw them I was awash with memories of stealing little bits of time during my children's naps to sew summer sun suits, shirts/shorts and nightgowns for my kiddos. At that time it was a yard of discounted fabric and some elastic to make summer clothing. My grands are now beyond wanting or accepting home made garments. I remember considering the fabric in the first little dress for a baby quilt.

Thanks for sharing your projects with us.

I stumbled upon this pattern and thought it might be of interest here. It is designed to be used with fat quarter bundles which I don't have, but I have plenty of fabric that could be used for a quick baby or donation quilt. It does use 2.5 in strips. I have begun to save my trimmings and narrow scraps as strips if they are longer than 2.5 X 2.5
The pattern is on YouTube and there is an attachment with the free printable directions. Lots of size options!

This may be a good afternoon donation quilt project.

Thanks for kind comments about the grandkids’ clothes. Both grand girls loved their outfits. (1yo grandson probably could care less what he wears.)

Found out the gender of my 4th grandbaby, due in January… he’s a boy! His dad is over the moon.

Adorable, oh yes. And hand quilted too! Oh, my. I shall save the photo to my "someday file". Thank you for the good idea for our 2.5s.

I did try the "Quarter Stack" quilt yesterday and, indeed I finished a lap top size in an afternoon. I cheated a bit and used a jelly roll. I think the fat quarters would have give more options and variety in the lay out.

Miss ZuZu found the layout to be adequate and had a brief clean up after the hard work of quilt approval.
