Gannyrosie, your hexis are stunning! They look so small. Cannot wait to see more progress pictures.

LAF, happy you made it safely to your new home. Cross country trips are tough. Did it once at 21, never again.

The weather is in the midst of changing right now. Strong gusty winds and it’s cooling off by the hour. Today DH and I have a 5k (we’re walkers) on Asheville airport where we’ll be out in the open. Hope we don’t get blown away.

Pet, passing on the passion is wonderful. And making the project free of matching corners is perfect. Just learning to use the machine is hard. Have her take plain paper and draw lines and squiggles and curves. No thread just follow the lines . Great practice for learning to sew, and FMQ!

thanks. The paper thing worked. And every time we start something new, SHE grabs for the paper.

Just in case you all don't check the Virtual Quilt Weekend thread, I am posting my finish here too. The Christmas Cross quilt is done! 59X69 and 877 Christmas 2.5's out of my stash! I did a simple diagonal straight stitch except for the crosses. Those I did a larger meandering. I like the meandering on the back of the quilt. They look all lacy and sweet. Done and done. Off to the Finish the Criss Cross Stars (Lori Holt) that I started back in August. Need to Add the rest of the sashing, then the setting triangles and done. I may take it with me to my retreat next weekend to finish the top. My primary retreat project is my "Star Trails" quilt made from my 2022 birthday squares. About 1/3 done and it is nagging me to get it finished.

Happy quilting this week and ohhhh a birthday celebration too!

Who knows what I will do, yea I never can make up my mind till it's actually time.
Love your hexies Gannyrosie! It motivates me to get back to my hexies!
