Thanks for the compliments. The quilt will likely be donated to someone. Don't know who. Perhaps the one who ooos and ahhhhs over it, will go home with it. Tee-Hee-Hee! For me it is too busy, but it would make a good snuggle quilt on a cold winter night.

Great quilt, WMU. It gives a great christmas vibe, without overdoing the green with the red. nice job

Y'all are doing so well, I am quite spoiled. Every month barring crummy weather, your packages are arriving on time or just a day late. FYI, I just heard that the cost of stamps will be going up later in January. It may be time to stock up on those forever stamps!

Happy Tuesday! It seems like it should be Friday in my life but such as it is Busy, busy, busy. I need each day I have and will be using it to the max. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are QUILT RETREAT for me! Yeah! I am waving my arms like Kermit the Frog.

Hi everyone! I started cutting candies yesterday. Can you tell I'm excited?
SBG- I love that cross quilt!! I may need to make that one.
I was wondering about postage. Can someone let me know? I didn't see it but I'm working my way through this thread so I may have missed it. TY

SuzieQHO - postage is a variable. It depends on the size of the envelope you use and how your pack it. I still have my birthday envelopes from this September. Most but certainly not all use 9X6 craft envelopes. The mail out for about 90 cents to about $1.60.

I was going to take a photo of a package for you but I don't want to spoil anyone's surprises for November and December. I will be working with last years birthday swap squares at a retreat this weekend and if I find an envelope that has not been taken apart, I will snap a photo and post it. That way you could see at least one way of packaging to minimize the cost of mailing and to make it fun. I may even have one of my own from years ago that I saved. Yes, I do save a sample of each year's mailing from me. Silly me, I could be using those little darl'ins.

I would recommend buying stamps before the new year since prices will be going up as I mentioned before. A penny here, a penny there as they say.

Cut away and enjoy laying out your little piles of beauty.

I went searching in my computer files of patterns and found the cross quilt pattern. It is a freebie and easy. I would do it again with a different color for the crosses and squares. It eats up just less than 900 little 2.5s. But, it all depends on the size you make of course. It would be fun little pattern for a an easy baby quilt. Perfect leader/ender project. Just two blocks. Yeah!

It is celebration day for our JENNR8R! Do something that makes you smile and that bring you a thrill, like your avatar maybe? While you wait enjoy a bite of birthday cake direct from my virtual kitchen.

    Have a wonderful day.
