Ha-Ha-Ha! Isn't that the truth. I just finished a flimsy of yellow and orange 2.5's and the bin has enough to make another quilt using yellow/orange.. Ah, but I am having fun putting my fabric to use, clearing out UFOs and call myself blessed to have time to finish what is under my needle. Sew on everyone!

Has anyone mentioned the free patterns at Quilted Twins yet? Many use smaller squares but could be adapted to our candy. https://www.quiltedtwins.com/free-patterns.htm

Quilted Twins is the BOMB! They have so many beautiful free patterns, all designed by one of the "twins", Becky Petersen. I've made several of them with my candy squares.

I've been late to post but glad the envelope got there! Been catching up on reading and have been working on a few WIPs. Hugs all!

Good to hear from you, Reba!

I catch Pat Sloan every day but seldom watch the whole video. Today, February 8, she posted a free pattern for a block that uses lots of 2.5's. It is large, 16", so a three by three layout with sashing would make a good sized baby quilt or a throw. (This lay out is in the pattern too!) Going to make a test block and see what happens when I dig through my collection of birthday squares.

So as I was waiting for the glue to dry on my sandwiched postage stamp, I decided to go through stash and cut up the pieces that were bigger than 12x12. My daughter doesn't like to use paper towels or napkins , so I make her towels for the kids to wipe their finger, spills, mouths etc... Just cut a square or rectangle and use my serger to put a rolled hem on them. Last bunch I made was probably 10 months ago, so figured she needs new ones. Great use of larger scraps.

How lovely to hear from you, Barb! Hope you are doing well. With the new start-up date, my birthday is first instead of being last. What a treat. Hope you are able to join!
