Thank you to everyone in this fine group for sending their birthday candies. You all rock! They are so much appreciated and I looked forward to getting your packages all month long. It stretched my birthday out for four weeks! How fun is that? Now what will I make with them?

I make plans on where we will travel but God just smiles and shows me another path.
i had been wanting to take a two week cruise starting January 17th. Travel Agent never came through.
So on that date DH ended up having a mass removed from testical. Two weeks later we found out it was lymphoma. I am sitting in Dana-Farber Cancer Center in Boston while he starts chemo.

good things….it is one of best for lymphoma and has endocrinologists to help with his diabetes during treatment. We have found a campground who has a few sites available in the cold weather for us (every thing else is closed). We are close to grandchildren who drove over to check on Pop. We can leave our dog at our sons. It has not spread to any other part of his body.
    so another chapter starts.

TG, I’m sorry to hear about your DH’s diagnosis but I’m glad you have found good physicians and that your family is close. Many hugs to you all.

So scary, I'm so sorry to hear this, but as you said, you are at a good center and it hasn't spread. That's such a huge relief. Still it is scary and big hugs to you and your DH!!

So true. Sounds like He had all the details worked out for a change of plans. May His loving arms surround you and uphold you.

And our winner is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Gaijin

Just to refresh your memory here is the name story for our winner. " “Gaijin” is a Japanese word which means foreigner. It is not so polite, rather abrupt. It is pronounced “guy-jean” phonetically. When I first moved to Japan many years ago, children would point at me and say “Gaijin, gaijin,” as if I didn’t know I was a foreigner! The more polite term is Gaikokujin-a person from a different country."

Gaijin, your package go in the mail soon! Congratulations!

Thank you all for sharing your name stories. I feel like I know you all just a little bit better.

Amen to that. His plan was already in place to have you near medical help, family and an open park to stay. Prayers for your both as he heals and you offer loving care.
