TG, I would pick up one of the colors from the barn squares. Check what you have on hand. The suggestion of a rusty brown is good. But it you have a yellow, a cream, the sky blue those would do also. Like you use of the alternating blocks to break up the "checkerboard" look of the 2.5's. Clever use of what is at hand.

Finally got a chance to treadle, after a long and busy week. Here’s a few more blocks for my dads throw.

It is such fun to look at your blocks LC. Don't know if any of those little squares came from me or if we just have some of the same fabrics in our stash. I had to take down my Christmas Cross blocks from my design board today, so I could layer a smallish quilt for donation. Got it done and quilted this afternoon. Only the binding left to do. Later this week, up go the Christmas Cross blocks again.

I got my eight rows done! I think I’ll add sashing in between the rows to make it bigger!

It's great, LC! I see several fabrics that I may have sent you... I think sashing between some rows will look great and will make it a whole different quilt!

Hi all. I hope your May has come and gone without major problems visiting upon you all. I have sent my June candies to you lucky June birthdays. They either left Saturday or today depending on how active the Post Office where I dropped them off has been this holiday weekend.

Regretfully, I have no time to catch up on the threads I have missed. I am running like a rabbit this month from one task to the next. I sure hope I get to retire and quilt one day! Hugs to all of you.

log cabin, I love your treadle blocks. You have a great eye for lights and darks which adds so much movement into it.

Hello all. I can't figure out how to link only the picture that I want, but this link will take you to a variety of pictures (I like the one labeled "198"). Not quilts, but of course my mind goes straight to "how can I make this into a quilt?". Some pretty neat ideas for our candies. Be inspired. :-)

LAF2019 all I can say is WOW!. Some of those are amazingly intricate but with some perseverance and creativity all could be turned into quilts. I like 204 as well as 198.
