I gave up my birthday..... I'm not ready for another trip around the sun to be completed, lol.
Quossum, what do you teach? If it is social studies, I might be able to track down some lesson plans for you, if that helps. I hate that teaching has become such a problem for the teachers. I'm not convinced that all the extra paperwork is useful for anything but helping the administrators prove that their teachers are following the marching orders. It certainly doesn't let teachers get creative and flexible or individual with teaching their classes. It makes teaching pretty boring, at least from my perspective.
Good thing there is quilting and piecing to think about!

Just an FYI for the rest of our swapping year. There are four more birthdays this 2023 swapping year. Two are in October and one each in November and December.
Stay cool everyone. Even the mitten state is holding on for the upper 90's this week.

I’ll be getting together the envelopes this week so I can drop them in the mail this weekend. Looking forward to putting together the packets—one of my favorite parts.
I teach English / Reading - Language Arts, whatever the class is called these days. I’m good at teaching, coming up with lessons, all that sort of thing—the actual teaching part…but the behavior issues are bad, the classes are large, the administrative duties and requirements are oppressive, and there’s just a very different feel to the whole profession than “there used to be.” I know I can’t live in the past, gotta change and grow with the times and all that, but still.
But anyway! Not to bring my real-world woes into this happy colorful warm and loving quilting space! I still haven’t opened all my envelopes… still savoring the love!
