Heathermom2, your work is wonderful! I know this pattern as Jack’s chain. Please keep
posting progress pics. I’m very impressed! (I haven’t hand pieced anything since learning to quilt 20 years ago.)

Heathermom, that is an amazing feat that you have done all that piecing by hand! Your quilt is going to be beautiful. I saw one in the Paducah show, back before covid. I've long been a fan of that pattern.

Hey February birthday girls! Candies are on their way. Hopefully the rain, ice and snow storms won't delay their arrival. Happy Birthday!

Patrick's Mom, that old phrase about the US Post Office came to mind. "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds." Well it applies most of the time. Fingers crossed that all our packages will not be delayed..............mail early. It helps. Wink,Wink!

Hi February birthday girls! Candies mailed yesterday. Hoping they get to you intact...this my first mailing so please advise if there is any problem with the mailing or the candies themselves. After my journey with envelopes, I re-read posts here and realized the envelope selection would have been perfectly clear if I'd just paid more attention! Thank you to those who posted pictures of packages

Good Morning my swapping friends. Today is January 25 which means it is 2.5 Day in our group. So, snap and post a photo of what is under your needle that uses 2.5" squares. Finished, in progress or just getting started (that's me) all are welcome. Maybe some of you are still in the cutting squares for mailing stage. That's OK too! We have all of these little sweeties close by, so let's put them to use. I'll post later today to show my "just getting started" progress on the Checkerboard Chain from Lori Holt. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OdCvNn2qXmY)

    Looking forward to your photos.

Heathermom2 - wowser that is awesome hand work. will be awaiting completed top.

It is the 25th and I got DH outside to hold up the WIPs with years of birthday candy
I pulled my citrus and brights out for the elephants
Then pulled out all the blues for my daughters quilt top
Next everything went into a bag and I mixed it all up.
Still have plenty of candy to play with, but hoping back and forth and playing chauffer, I will be use them!

Heathermom2, great work! They’re all so cheery!

Here’s my 2-1/2 inch project, Checkerboard Chain. I haven’t done very much yet and am still deciding on whether to go with white backgrounds or white and cream. I need a couple of more creams before I decide, but it’ll probably include creams and/or subtle prints. Anyway, it’s a fun and easy project and I’m loving the little 1 inch finished squares in particular. My blocks in progress are on the left.

    Hope to see more projects!
