Big breath, Janice McC, Consider that buried treasure as an opportunity to practice some free motion quilting or some quick straight line quilting or ...... whatever is fast and easy.

Yeah for birthday candy packages in the mail!

Good Morning, The envelopes are in the mail. Hope that everyone is doing well and that whatever weather situation you are in, you are staying safe. We are supposed to have the heat in the Northeast, but it seems that the entire Country is experiencing something. Mother Nature sure is mad this year. I am working on a very scrappy, candy project....I took inspiration from a pic I saw online, but now I want to build it out from there. Hopefully I will be able to post this wip on the 25th.

Question: What number were the July packages? Like, I know there are 20 of us (hope that is correct) but how many have we sent out? Reason that I am asking is that one of my kids got into the drawer that I had things so nicely organized and now I think I am missing a couple pre-wrapped and ready to mail envelopes.

My candy cards are going out today, as well. They are in the mailbox waiting for the mailman.

I like the Lori Holt block! I wouldn't use her method, exactly, because of all the waste triangles. (I know I could reuse them but I never do.) It was nice to see Lori Holt... she's pretty popular right now. Her fabrics go for a premium.

I like her rationale for which fabrics to choose, and her explanation of how turning the blocks changes the overall look of the quilt. Good info.

Heather, JENNR8R is correct, 10 more to go after our July birthdays.... but you my dear will only have 9 because your birthday is yet to come. Oh, Joy of joys. Love it when a kiddo rearranges our good work. Consider it a study in color theory for you and them too. Sorry that you need to reorganize again. Maybe the kiddo can help you if you lay out the 50 they can match using the other squares. It all depends on the amount or disorganization that happened.

Candies went out today. Fingers crossed everything makes it...so far, so good. Oh, and our weather is boooring.....typical June, rainy and cool with occasional sunshine. Today was nice enough for a bike ride without having to bring the rain gear.
