Terriamn, I’ve always just put a two ounce stamp on my packages and let them go with the carrier. I took a package eons ago to the post office and they tried to charge me over a dollar more. Absolutely not. My envelope size was standard, the weight under two ounces and the thickness less than a quarter inch. If there’s anything I can properly judge, it’s 1/4 inch. Sounds like the counter person you got just didn’t care and was basically a contrary individual. Our local office tries to save us money. I’m appreciative of them.

Hi all, I was at the AQS shell in Grand Rapids and saw this quilt, not too many candy quilts but this could use candies pretty well. Hugs all!

Reba, I did not go to the AQS show this year, I was concerned that all the walking would not be good for the healing of my hip. Slow going but I have finally left the cane behind! Freedom, Yea!! That quilt would be stunning in 2.5's. Now I wonder what else I missed at AQS.

Ibex94, OM Goodness what a lot of 2.5's and it is HUGE! When are you going to start your version of it? Tee-Hee-Hee. Between teaching and traveling, sure you can do it.

I have started to get packages and I am desperate to open them but I keep telling myself that waiting builds character. So I wait.

    To Date:
    JENER8R
    Gaijin
    Travelinggramma

(My package went out this morning.)

Ibex hubby and I have vacationed in The UP the last 2 summers and I can’t even describe how beautiful and awe inspiring it was. Already looking for a place for next year.

Ibex and WMUT I don’t remember adding my screen name on the envelope with your birthday candies. Return address will say Terri and Ralph. Sorry about that

Thanks for the heads-up,Terriamn. I will watch carefully. So glad you enjoy "my" mitten. It is a beautiful state with everything from sandy beaches to forests big city lift to little villages full of precious surprises. A terrific place to hide out when the temps are high and to hide in when the temps are low.

I have been working on this months 2.5 effort. Three rows down and 4 more rows of blocks ready to add, Then it is 5 more rows to construct. This is the Dublin pattern that I posted earlier this month. Easy and could be a controlled color way or wildly scrappy. I am cleaning out my black and white stash. A little of this and a little of that but not enough for anything larger. Used up all my 2.5s so making more.

Yikes I forgot the attachment. Here 'tis.

Show your stuff my friends. What are you working on with your 2.5s? Or other projects? I have three going currently and a huge basket of UFO's gazing at me.
