Priority padded envelopes are FREE from the PO, no need to buy any! Unless you buy the Forever Padded Envelopes...

Isn't it great that the post office offers free padded envelopes? Only catch is that they must be ordered and mailed to recipient. The order forms says they should arrive in 3 - 5 business days .... I've been waiting 7 business days, typical service for mail delivery in my area.

Juanita I'll keep my eyes peeled. MM, mine take more than seven days, too. Wish you could just pick them up ourselves. Oh well. Free is worth the wait!

The envelopes in the lobby are not free, sorry. Only the Flat Rate bubbles mailers that are ordered online are free.

Sounds like it might vary from post office to post office. The ones in my area have both the free stuff (boxes and padded envelopes) and the "for purchase" mailers and supplies available.

The difference is the Priority Mail boxes/envelopes are free, the regular shipping supplies are not.

Faintly, that is correct, former postal here. They make their profit off stamps, boxes, mailers, cards & other unsundrys/collectibles. Mine won't even give you tape to close a pkg, you have to take tape there! I order the Priority Bubble Mailers prior to swaps or hosting, still gotta go there to mail out though.
