I was going to say I didn't have time to figure this out for you...but...then I remember I now have EQ7 :) :) :thumbup: :thumbup:

So IF I figured it out correctly (or if the EQ7 figured it out correctly) - to make 12 - 12 1/2" UNfinished blocks

The Background needs about 1 yard
The leaf needs about 1 3/8 yard.
(the leaf and stem are same fabric in my example)

Important Tip:
I just collected 25 Maple Leaf blocks on another swap. It is critically important to leave a 1/4 " beyond the points, or you will cut some off when you are sewing up your blocks. Just be really careful.

Can't wait to get paid again so I can venture to the fabric store. Anyone having any luck with the pattern?

A scant 1/4" is just slightly less than a 1/4" seam, when sewing a seam.

Here are the Maple Leaves I collected. It is a terrific idea to use a dark background. Bookworm, you are one smart cookie!
