Exciting evening in the ghetto.. trying to do math homework.. trying not to cry over it.. or pull out anymore hair.. and I hear a loud boom.. louder than a car door slam but not AS loud as when the neighbor blew himself up with his propane tank. Then of course the sirens. Normally don't bother to check it out unless they stop in front of my house.. so what did they do? stop in front of my house. I'm the 2nd house in from the corner so the cops are at the intersection blocking it off and I couldn't see anything from my front porch.. so I went to my backyard and oooo.. I see fire! only 2 houses in across that street. Something in the garage went kaboom and went on fire. When I went back out later it smelled a bit like weed.

Yay.. an evening in the life of the ghetto. No sewing for me until I get some of this homework done. I will be sooooooo friggin happy when this class is over. I can't possibly express how insanely and unnecessarily difficult this class has been without you getting to see first hand what I'm working off of here. It's ridiculous. Merry christmas to me, no more math classes after the 19th of December! Just.. have to live that long without getting committed to the looney bin.

Weed and explosions? unless lamps overheated? you know they block off the extra light on the doors and such so its not noticiable and then well it gets friggen hot. that or meth. Meth blows up very easily. and weed was just a side business. Sorry to hear about it and hey you can live in a nice neighborhood DEAR and have people doing bad things in their homes. You just never know.

I am so tired today and am putting the tablerunner in the ufo pile for another day another year or it might go where the squirrels went.. the took a trip to the thrift store good donation all and all. i get fairly grumpy easily when things dont go my way sewing. My mind is saying yeah! and its not always thinking sigh..

miss you guys been too out of it to be any fun. oh no. thats not good. at all. come over and play anyone .. ok maybe tomorrow I might miss the fun I am off to bed, again. nite gang and its nice to see so many jump in to play. This is going to be a fun event. What is everyone making? runners or tablemats or both? do you have patterns or do you make up your own .. what is the process? AND how are you guys making things ahead of figuring out how big the table you have to play with is? or colors? you are so brave me after my table runner failure.. not so brave. I will have to wait for the drum roll of who my secret swapper is.. is it you? or is it YOU? or maybe its.. YOU! I knew it. Love it. This will be so easy. Uh huh.

So there's this time.. and a few months ago the next door house had all the copper stripped and the other side neighbor had to report the smell of gas before it blew up on us.. couple months before that the neighbor across the street and up one had some kind of explosion. I never did figure out if he lived or died or what but from what I could tell without being one of those nosy neighbors was that a propane grill tank exploded and lit everything in the back on fire and went through the fence, the daughter was screaming and crying for her dad and power was out for the evening. Couple years before that the house at the end of the block and on the rear side blew up from copper harvesting. It's loverly living here. haha. I grew up in this area so it's nothing new to me but sure wish it didn't exist.

The old place i used to live in the neighbors across the street and 2 down got busted for a meth lab. The bratty teenagers that moved in there after the meth lab egged and spray painted my house and slashed my tires (3 separate occasions) and regularly teased my dogs.. *sigh* some people I tell ya. And I would find needles and condoms in my yard. Yay. I can't stand living in the city. But there are worse ghettos than mine and if I had to go to one of those instead I would rather have this one. I just honestly would love to live on a far edge of a suburb.

I honestly have been too busy to stalk you and you're busy as heck and sick and you yelled at me to stop whining so I'm sitting over here doing my math and being quiet and watching my neighbors try to blow themselves up.

Elisibrat, am I doing yours? I didn't think she split us up yet, lol. I may send you one that's a string of flags from Denmark with snowflakes sewn on if you're messin with me! Fabric trouble is mostly good trouble. He's a darn engineer, so the idea of a stash is completely foreign to him. He thinks when you buy something it's got to have a home already planned. He's not complained about my placemats though. However, he did insist we keep the set on our dining room table. So, since he fell in love with that stash fabric, which I made into placemats on a whim, I'm thinking I'm going to end up staining the dining room table black (it's natural, unfinished wood now), then replacing the rug and recovering the seats (which don't match each other anyway). Of course then I have to do some paintings to match to put on the wall. He has no idea what he got himself into keeping those placemats!

Anyway, these placemats are giving me fits. I'm not happy with what I chose to go together for the backs & fronts, so I may have to come up with something else to do with the backs & put the Danish flags in the UFO pile. Of course, my friend Lisa wanted me to make her red placemats, so I could figure out something to do with the back and make those hers and not tell her they're Danish flags.

Oh, I need something to take my mind off these darn placemats!

Is the 15th yet??? I have time on my hands (otherwise how could I possible keep up with SS, Boom, Monthlyswap and this??) hubby decided to take a nap. Now I my sewing area is in the bedroom. I have been working on a dissapearing nine patch and have it up on the wall. So i came out for a break (okay - food) and I turn around and he went into the bedroom - GRRRRRR - we do have a spare room where he could have laid down - but nooooo he has to go in MY sewing room.
Where or where is the naughty room bar - there seems to be quite a few wonderful ladies there. Hey wait it might be ladies night -wahhoo
